About this tool

Fake Explorer Crash is a free online fake screen simulator. Folder windows auto-spawning, icons glitching and flickering. Prank your friends with convincing fake screens. It runs entirely in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.

After opening it, the desktop began to "freak out": the screen flashed a few times, the taskbar disappeared instantly, and the desktop icons were cleared, as if Windows 'resource manager had really collapsed, and then it was automatically restarted and restored-the entire process was highly consistent with the performance of automatic recovery after a real system crash. The number of crashes and restart speed can be customized, allowing a desperate cycle of "repeated crashes".

The effect is performed by the front end and will not really end the resource manager process or affect any running programs; closing the page will return to normal. If you want to act more like it, you can use it at the time when the real system is stuck, so it can be difficult to distinguish between true and false; or it can be triggered when the other party is dragging a file to make the confusion of "halfway dragging the desktop is gone" more realistic.

It is suitable for teasing Windows users and creating confused moments like "Did your computer just crash?"; it is also often used as a part of funny videos such as "The computer is broken", or as a material to demonstrate the system failure recovery process, allowing laymen to see what a "desktop restart" is all about.

Reminder: Use caution with caution to friends whose computers are inherently slow and often blue-screen, so as not to run into real faults; after exposing them, take advantage of the opportunity to show that the taskbar has actually been alive and that the joke is clean. Don't let the other party actually check the "Explorer Crash Repair Tutorial".

The fake resource manager crash causes the desktop to flash, the taskbar to disappear and then restart automatically, completely recreating the shocking scene of the Windows desktop being "resurrected from the dead."
