About this tool

Fake Shutdown is a free online fake screen simulator. Simulate system shutdown animation. Prank your friends with convincing fake screens. It runs entirely in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.

After opening it, the system shutdown interface appears on the screen: "shutting down","saving your settings","shutting down all programs" and other prompts combined with the circling animation. The screen style faithfully restores the real shutdown process of Windows and macOS, and it looks like the computer is really starting to shut down. The length of the shutdown process can be customized, and you can also perform a weird version of "stuck in the shutdown interface".

The whole process is a front-end simulation, which will not really shut down the computer or affect the running program; press F11 or Esc to exit, and everything will be as usual. To make the scene realistic, you can first lower the brightness of the screen to create the illusion that it is about to turn off, or pop it up while the other party has just saved the file and is relaxing.

It is suitable for teasing friends to create the moment "Why did the computer turn off itself?" It is also often used as video material to demonstrate the system shutdown process, or a framing picture of computer failure in movies and movies, making "shutdown animation" a source of tension.

Solemn reminder: Never use it for people who have unsaved work on the computer and are busy-the panic of "shutting down is real; please limit the jokes to friends whose data has been saved and are in a relaxed state, and the first time the explanation is false.

The fake shutdown tool reproduces the shutdown screens of Windows and macOS. The circles of "shutting down" and "saving settings" make the computer look like it is really shutting down.
