About this tool

Fake Sudo Password is a free online fake screen simulator. Simulate Linux terminal password always wrong. Prank your friends with convincing fake screens. It runs entirely in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.

After opening it, the terminal stops in front of a line of prompt: "[sudo] password for user: " The cursor flashes quietly, waiting for the input-no matter what you lose, it will appear as if it failed in verification or directly enter the next false output. The user name and failure number prompt can be customized, and a follow-up to "execute the command after the power is raised" can also be arranged to make the entire scene more complete.

The interface is a front-end simulation that will not really verify passwords, request power removal, or execute any commands; it will resume when the page is closed. If you want to act professionally, you can "get stuck" in the password entry step when your colleague passes by, or add the sentence "I need administrator authority to install something here."

It is suitable for teasing programmers or operation and maintenance friends-the curiosity of "Are you installing what software?" can easily be piqued; it is also often used as interface material to demonstrate the usage of sudo in Linux teaching videos, allowing novices to intuitively see "what a power lifting prompt looks like."

Solemn reminder: Never use fake sudo prompts to extract other people's real system passwords. That is a fishing act; please only use role-playing among friends and explain that it is a demonstration. Don't let jokes slide to the dangerous boundary.

The fake sudo password prompt lights up "[sudo] password for user: " on the terminal, and the cursor waits for input, making people next to you think that you are really performing an administrator action.
